Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the easySales Shipping app (“the app”) for Shopify. By installing or using the app you agree to them.

The service

The app adds home-delivery and parcel-locker pickup options to your Shopify checkout, syncing couriers and lockers from your easySales account and storing the buyer’s delivery selection on the order.

Requirements & accounts

You need an active Shopify store and a valid easySales account/service token. You are responsible for keeping your token confidential and for the accuracy of your courier and delivery configuration.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to bypass its authentication, reverse-engineer it, or use it to violate Shopify’s terms or any applicable law.

Data & privacy

Use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The app processes only the minimum buyer data (city/postal/country) needed to show nearby lockers.

Data processing (DPA)

Where the app processes personal data on your behalf, you are the data controller and easySales is the data processor; this section forms our data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR where applicable). We process personal data only on your documented instructions — the configuration and ordinary operation of the app.

Scope. Purpose: presenting delivery and parcel-locker options at checkout. Buyer data: only shipping city, postal code, and country, processed transiently for geocoding — no name, email, phone, or street address, and no buyer personal data is stored (the selected locker is stored by Shopify on the order). Merchant data: shop domain and Shopify tokens used to operate the app.

Sub-processors. You authorise the following, each bound by equivalent data-protection obligations: Shopify (platform and checkout); our hosting/database provider; and the geocoding providers that resolve a city/postal code to coordinates — Nominatim/OpenStreetMap, Photon (Komoot), LocationIQ, Geoapify, OpenCage, or Mapbox; which one handles a given request depends on current load and availability (city/postal/country only). We will give notice of new sub-processors and you may object.

Security & retention. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, least-privilege access, secret rotation, data minimisation). Geocoding results (coordinates only) are retained at most 90 days; uninstalling the app deletes your store’s data.

Assistance & breaches. We assist you with data-subject requests (handled via Shopify’s compliance webhooks) and notify you without undue delay of any personal-data breach. International transfers, where they occur, rely on an appropriate mechanism such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Third-party services

The app relies on Shopify and on geocoding/map providers. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and the app is provided subject to those services functioning.

Availability & warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that every address resolves to a locker.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, easySales is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost sales, arising from use of the app.

Fees

The app is free to install and use. If this ever changes, any fees will be presented before you accept them and billed through Shopify’s billing.

Termination

You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time; uninstalling removes your store’s data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend access for breach of these terms.
